En 2011 se plantó el viñedo con 700 vides. La elección de las variedades se ha hecho con tres nuevas variedades: Johanniter, Solaris y Monarch. Estas han sido desarrolladas de tal manera que son resistentes a enfermedades como el oídio y la botrytis. El beneficio adicional es que solo se deben utilizar fitosanitarios de manera muy esporádica contra estas enfermedades, trabajando así de manera sostenible. El viñedo está plantado hacia el sur y puede beneficiarse plenamente del sol de Zelanda. El subsuelo es un suelo arenoso negro que se enriquece cada año con cal y humus. De esta manera, las vides pueden acceder a todos los nutrientes importantes para poder obtener una hermosa cosecha de uvas saludables a finales del otoño.
