La belle Kapucijnenplein se trouve à l'ombre du Concertgebouw, juste à côté du parc Koning Albert Ier.
Vous pourrez vous détendre sur l'un des bancs au bord de l'eau , vous installer sur l'une des jolies terrasses ou étudier le street art coloré des quatre Brugse Zotten, en référence au surnom des Brugeois.
Le Kapucijnenrei se transforme ici en Smedenrei. Celle-ci fut voûtée en 1838 avec la construction de la ligne ferroviaire Gand-Bruges-Ostende et pour la construction de la première gare brugeoise sur 't Zand . Il y a quelques années, cependant, une partie du Kapucijnenrei a été rouverte et rendue accessible avec des bancs.
