Le lac Baldeney est le plus grand des six réservoirs de la Ruhr en Allemagne. Le lac est situé au sud de la ville d’Essen, entre les quartiers de Werden, Bredeney, Heisingen, Kupferdreh et Fischlaken. Le barrage est entretenu par le Ruhrverband. L’électricité est produite au moyen de turbines.
