Bardowick est une municipalité allemande du land de Basse-Saxe et de l'arrondissement de Lunebourg. En 2015, elle comptait 6 867 habitants. Elle est à 5 km au nord de Lunebourg sur la rivière navigable Ilmenau. Bardowick est également le siège de la Samtgemeinde de Bardowick.
La ville est mentionnée pour la première fois en 795 et est élevée au statut de ville en 972 par Otton Ier du Saint-Empire. Son nom est dérivé du Lombard, la tribu à l'origine de sa fondation. De là, la colonisation de la Lombardie a commencé sous son roi arien et antitrinitariste Alboïn.
