Regenhütte est un village situé dans l’arrondissement de Regen. Il appartient à l’arrondissement administratif de Basse-Bavière et est un district de la commune de Bayerisch Eisenstein, dont le centre se trouve à environ cinq kilomètres. La population est d’environ 300 personnes. Le village est situé sur la rivière Großer Regen dans le parc national de la forêt bavaroise et au pied de la montagne Großer Arber.
En 1750, Felix Martin Kisling, propriétaire de la verrerie Rabenstein, y construisit une nouvelle verrerie, qui s’appelait initialement Neuhütte. Il a été loué à l’usine de verre miroir Fischer d’Erlangen.
