Vesoul est une commune de l'est de la France, préfecture du département de la Haute-Saône en région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté et chef-lieu de cantons et d'arrondissement. À la tête de la communauté d'agglomération de Vesoul et du pays de Vesoul et du Val de Saône, la ville fait partie de la région culturelle et historique de Franche-Comté. Vesoul compte, en 2018, 14 973 habitants intra-muros tandis que son aire d'attraction totalise 67 464 habitants et son arrondissement compte 129 436 habitants. Ses habitants sont appelés Vésuliens.
