Argelès-Gazost [aʁʒəlɛs ɡazɔst] est une commune française située dans l'ouest du département des Hautes-Pyrénées, dont elle est une sous-préfecture, en région Occitanie. C'est la ville-centre d'une petite agglomération de treize communes et d'environ 7 000 habitants, l'unité urbaine d'Argelès-Gazost. Sur le plan historique et culturel, la commune est dans la province du Lavedan, partie sud-occidentale de la Bigorre et constituée d'un ensemble de sept vallées en amont de la ville de Lourdes.
