La cathédrale d’Orvieto se dresse au sommet de la colline d’Orvieto et domine les autres édifices. Le Duomo dédié à l’Assomption de Marie, est une des œuvres les plus grandioses de l’architecture médiévale italienne. De style gothique, elle est notamment célèbre pour sa façade, ainsi que pour la chapelle San Brizio, décorée des fresques de Fra Angelico et Luca Signorelli.
