Le mont Washington est le point culminant du Nord-Est des États-Unis avec une altitude de 1 916 mètres. Il se situe dans les montagnes Blanches dans le comté de Coos. La plus grande partie du mont se situe dans la forêt nationale de White Mountain et le parc d'État du Mont-Washington.
La montagne est appelée Agiocochook, la « demeure du grand esprit », par les Amérindiens. Une expédition scientifique menée par le géologue Dr Cutler nomme le sommet mont Washington en 1784.
