Il Zoerselhof è stato fondato nel 1790 come abbazia dei padri cistercensi, e da allora ha avuto una vita molto varia come residenza per bambini di Anversa, pensione, hotel-ristorante e infine castello.
In un'intervista vi presentiamo anche Ivo Van Vaerenbergh, proprietario e ispiratore dello Zoerselhof. Ha fatto restaurare completamente l'edificio e il dominio di 18 ha nel 1989 nel suo stato originale, come era ai tempi dei padri.
