In piazza Georges-Jozef Imschoot si trova la sala comunale di cultura e svago Guldepoort.
Al centro della piazza si erge anche una colored concrete structure progettata dall'artista Roger Raveel. Una struttura simile si trova all'inizio dell'incrocio tra la N43 e la Dorpsstraat e presso il Museo Roger Raveel.
Su un lato della piazza si trova una poesia dello scrittore-poeta olandese Gerard Reve. Gerard Kornelis van het Reve visse a Machelen-aan-de-Leie dal 1993 fino alla sua morte nel 2006. La sua poesia "Credo" del 1968 è stata incisa in lettere di rame in un'opera d'arte. Questo muro lungo cinque metri si trova sul lato della piazza Georges-Jozef Imschoot. Dietro di esso si trova il giardino di Villa ter Ide e l'atelier dell'artista Martin Wallaert.
