Una ricerca su Google rivela quanto segue: nel 1986, un proprietario di cinema di Lommel cadde ubriaco dal suo cavallo. Il cavallo si chiamava El-Cid ed era morto sul colpo, ma il cavaliere sopravvisse alla caduta. La pietra sarebbe una macabra battuta dei suoi amici ricchi. Le informazioni provengono dalla serie "Merlino oltre il confine" dell'emittente Brabant, che le ha riprese dall'associazione di storia locale di Bergeijk.
