Ti trovi qui accanto alla sede del Club Canoe di Niel, De Rupelsneppen, con dietro l'azienda Beton Coeck. Fino al 1856 c'era qui un mulino a vento in pietra per spremere olio. Questo fu fondato nel 1699
da Jan Kinnie, sulle rovine del vecchio Fort De Sterre, proprio accanto al Rupel. E qui si svolge la leggenda di ‘t Kennieke, meglio conosciuto come “Il fantasma della Fabbrica di Cemento”... Ascolta e rabbrividisci, “oep z’n Niels”.
Questa storia fa parte del Percorso ciclabile delle Onde Sonore di HOOGTIJ! Festa nel Parco Fluviale della Scheldevallei e Turismo nell'area Rupel.
