Thallwitz è un comune privo di comunità amministrativa nella parte settentrionale del distretto di Lipsia in Sassonia. La sede comunale si trova a Thallwitz.
Il comune si trova tra Wurzen ed Eilenburg, nel mezzo del paesaggio alluvionale della Mulde e delle colline di Hohburg a est, nella terra delle morene finali di Taucha, al margine della baia pianeggiante di Lipsia. A ovest del comune scorre la Mulde, nella quale confluisce la Lossa nel territorio comunale.
