Il ciclismo alla Planche des Belles Filles, un monte del massiccio dei Vosgi situato a cavallo tra il Territorio di Belfort e l'Alta Saona, è praticato in competizione sin dagli anni '90 con la cyclosportiva dei Tre Palloni. Ha guadagnato in notorietà a partire dall'inizio degli anni 2010 grazie al Tour de France, di cui la Planche des Belles Filles è diventata un "classico", se non un "imperdibile", con sei ascensioni tra il 2012 e il 2022.
