Lescar è una tappa del Cammino di Santiago de Compostela, sul percorso di Arles (Morlaas-Lescar-Oloron). Il rifugio è riservato ai pellegrini del Cammino di Santiago. Si trova nel cuore della città medievale di Lescar, dietro la cattedrale del XII secolo.
Nelle immediate vicinanze si trovano negozi come un panificio e una macelleria. Il rifugio è pulito e ben attrezzato, con cucina attrezzata, lavatrice e asciugatrice. È disponibile anche un negozio di alimentari di emergenza. Le grandi finestre offrono molta luce naturale e c'è un piacevole giardino. I pellegrini devono recarsi all'ufficio turistico per pagare il pernottamento e ritirare il codice d'ingresso.
