La Chiesa Metodista Indipendente di Newbuildings si trova sulla Duncastle Road nel villaggio di Newbuildings a circa 5 miglia da Derry in Irlanda del Nord. È stata ufficialmente inaugurata nel 1985 sotto il ministero del Rev Robert Maxwell. Il Rev Maxwell iniziò il suo lavoro evangelistico nell'anno 1978. Continuò a servire la congregazione fino al 1988 quando accettò la chiamata della Chiesa Metodista Indipendente di Dungannon.
