Quel grano veniva coltivato nei campi a suolo profondo delle vicine conche intramontane e doline. Se guardi le foto aeree, vedrai che questo piazzale è parte di un complesso di oltre 10 piazzali per la battitura. Si tratta quindi di un eccezionale pezzo di patrimonio storico.
