Santa Margherita Ligure è un comune italiano di 8 502 abitanti della città metropolitana di Genova in Liguria.
Santa Margherita Ligure è situata sulla Riviera di Levante, in una conca chiusa nella parte nord-occidentale del promontorio di Portofino, e nella parte più interna del golfo del Tigullio, con lo sviluppo dell'abitato "a nastro" lungo due principali insenature. L'abitato - situato ad est di Genova - è circondato da colline ricoperte di vegetazione mediterranea sulle quali si trovano ville e giardini con vista sulla cosiddetta "Costa dei Delfini", che unisce la città a Portofino. La località è un apprezzato centro turistico e balneare della Riviera di Levante.
