Pietralunga è un comune italiano di 1 980 abitanti della provincia di Perugia in Umbria. È situato nella parte nord-orientale dell'Alta Valtiberina, a 566 metri di altitudine sul livello del mare. L'insediamento urbano occupa la parte terminale di un crinale collinare digradante verso la valle del torrente Carpinella, a ridosso dell'Appennino umbro-marchigiano. Il centro murato giace sul versante meridionale del colle coprendo un dislivello di 40-50 metri tra il lato nord e quello sud delle mura urbane.
