Brielle , anticamente Den Briel e La Brille, è una municipalità dei Paesi Bassi di 15.752 abitanti situata nella provincia dell'Olanda Meridionale. Sorge sull'isola di Voorne, sulla sponda sud del lago di Brielle , al quale ha dato il suo nome.
Brielle è un'antica cittadella fortificata olandese. Il suo nome deriva dal gallico brogilo, che significa "recinto" o terreno di caccia. Una prima carta costitutiva della città, risale al 1306. Fu a lungo sede dei conti di Voorne, finché questo feudo fu annesso all'Olanda nel 1371. Aveva un fiorente porto mercantile che faceva parte della Lega Anseatica. Brielle aveva anche una base commerciale in Svezia.
