In questo luogo c'era già un mulino nel 17° secolo. Situato direttamente sull'acqua, molto pratico quindi per la fornitura di grano e lo scarico dei prodotti farinacei. Il predecessore dell'attuale mulino è andato distrutto in un incendio nel 1910. Nel tentativo di fermare le pale impazzite, i freni hanno preso fuoco. è stato acquistato un mulino a vento usato (del 1776) a Barsingerhorn vicino a Schagen. In Noord Holland, all'epoca molti mulini a vento erano diventati superflui a causa dell'emergere delle pompe a vapore. Lungo la via di trasporto il Vecht si trovano in totale 5 mulini a grano. Gli altri mulini che vedete sono mulini a polder. Questo mulino è stato restaurato diverse volte e i magazzini circostanti sono stati sostituiti da una casa abitabile. Ogni sabato il mulino è in funzione e i mugnai volontari saranno felici di farvi fare un tour. Nel negozietto sono in vendita deliziosi prodotti del mulino.
