Su iniziativa del parroco Verbunt, alla fine del 1943 è stato deciso di costruire questa cappella per rimanere risparmiati dalle calamità durante la guerra e per ottenere la pace. Prende il suo nome dal fatto che Maria a Fatima ha detto che le persone dovevano pregare per la pace. L'intera comunità di Kaarschot ha raccolto fondi per questo. Poiché non erano disponibili nuove pietre, sono state utilizzate le pietre del vecchio sentiero della chiesa. Il 14 maggio 1944 questa cappella è stata consacrata dal parroco Verbunt.
