La Repubblica di Novgorod, nota anche come Terra di Novgorod fu uno Stato medievale russo che, tra il XII e il XV secolo, si estendeva dal Mar Baltico agli Urali, avendo come proprio centro la città di Velikij Novgorod.
La Repubblica di Novgorod è stata tradizionalmente considerata come un'entità indipendente dalla Rus' di Kiev ; ma nonostante Novgorod avesse una forma di governo differente da tutte le altre città della Rus' e scegliesse localmente i propri comandanti, era comunque parte integrante del panorama politico e culturale russo.
