Froidchapelle is een dorp en gemeente in de Belgische provincie Henegouwen. De landelijke gemeente telt bijna 4.000 inwoners. Froidchapelle ligt in een bosrijk gebied, in de Laars van Henegouwen.
Naast Froidchapelle zelf, telt de gemeente nog de deelgemeenten Boussu-lez-Walcourt, Fourbechies, Vergnies en Erpion. De dorpskern van Froidchapelle ligt langs het riviertje de Hantes, met net ten zuiden het gehucht Froidchapelle au Coq. Het grondgebied strekt zich ruim vijf kilometer zuidwaarts uit in dunbevolkt bebost gebied. Het kleine dorpje Fourbechies ligt eveneens langs de Hantes, iets meer naar het noordwesten. De andere drie dorpen liggen in het noorden, met tussenin het stuwmeer de Plate Taille.
