Waar nu de watertoren prijkt op de heuvels van Sint-Lievens-Esse stond ooit een prachtige staakmolen. Wat verderop ligt fietsknooppunt 33. Bekijk zeker ook de Sint Lieven kapel naast de wateroren. De watertoren is o.a. te zien vanop de Kruiskoutermolen te Mere.
Wat verder bij de kerk van Sint-Lievens-Esse, ter hoogte van knooppunt 31, treffen we de streekbierbrouwerij Van Den Bossche aan. Pater Lieven en Buffalo zijn hier thuis.
