Gelegen in het oosten van België is het Natuupark van de Hoge Venen het oudste van het land. Dit grensoverschrijdende park is verdeeld in 6 natuurzones waarvan 4 in Wallonië. In het noordwesten ligt het 'Avant-Pays Fagnard' met zijn melkkoeien en bossen. De nabijgelegen Hoge Venen zijn een uniek veengebied in Europa. In het zuiden ligt de hoge Eifel met zijn beboste heuvels en de pittoreske vallei van de Our.
