Deze hoeve ligt op een groot ovaal perceel langs de Zijdelingse dijk langsheen de Vladslovaart, de Monnikenstraat. Ze gaat waarschijnlijk terug op een 10de- of 11de-eeuws domeincentrum en vermoedelijk ook schaapshoeve van de graaf van Vlaanderen. Later schonk deze de gronden
dan aan de Sint-Niklaasabdij van Veurne.
Vandaag ligt de hoeve op een eilandje tussen de Vladslovaart en de E40... De witte schuur van dit hof is nog steeds een blikvanger in het landschap.
