Bree-Eik was eeuwenlang een herenboerderij in adellijk bezit. De hoeve is genoemd naar het sedert de 13de eeuw vermelde Pajottenlandse geslacht Bree-Eik. De hoeve werd reeds vermeld in 1406. Het is nog steeds een enorme gesloten hoeve met witgekalkte gebouwen van baksteen uit de 18de en 19de eeuw gegroepeerd rondom twee geplaveide binnenplaatsen met een omvangrijk volume. De vruchtbare Brabantse zandleemgrond levert voor de Bree-Eikhoeve al eeuwenlang rijke landbouwoogsten op. De hoeve is prachtig gelegen te midden van uitgestrekte akkers. Beide binnenplaatsen zijn appart te bereiken. Op één daarvan staat een mooie oude eik.
