Ursel is een dorp in de Belgische provincie Oost-Vlaanderen en een deelgemeente van Aalter sinds 2019. Ursel is gelegen in het licht heuvelachtige gebied tussen Aalter en Eeklo en telt ongeveer 3.000 inwoners. Ursel staat vooral bekend om de Drongengoedhoeve en het militair domein, het vliegveld van Ursel wat een voormalig reservevliegveld van de NAVO is. Naast dit vliegveld ligt het Drongengoedbos. Verder zijn er nog kleinere bossen zoals het Keigatbos en het Koningsbos.
