De Paravang is een getuige uit de tijd van het elitaire badentoerisme. Hij dateert van 1908 en door zijn neogotische stijl met exotische invloeden oogt het een beetje oosters.
De naam van dit sierlijke bouwwerk uit de belle-époqueperiode komt van het Franse paravent, wat windscherm betekent.
Voor zowel Blankenbergenaars als toeristen blijft dit ook vandaag nog een trefpunt en een aangename zitplaats om te genieten van het zicht op de haven of het Leopoldpark.
