Op deze monolithische steen van 1,5m hoog bevindt zich een gedenkplaat met de foto's en namen van de krijgsgevangenen van de gemeente Sugny in 1940, evenals een reproductie van de congreszuil. De steen werd na 1945 opgericht.
Elk jaar, op 8 mei en 11 november, wordt er na de herdenkingsmis een eerbetoon gebracht aan de veteranen voor dit monument.
Er worden Belgische en Franse volksliederen gespeeld en de Belgische en Franse vlaggen gehesen.
