Altstadt Waldenburg is een plaats die behoort tot de stad Waldenburg in de Landkreis Zwickau. De gemeente Altstadt Waldenburg met de bekende wijk Grünfeld, die bekend is om het Grünfelder Park, werd op 1 juli 1928 ingelijfd bij de stad Waldenburg.
Altstadt Waldenburg vormt het zuidoostelijke deel van de Waldenburger kernstad. De plaats is gescheiden van de Oberstadt Waldenburg en de wijk Altwaldenburg door de Zwickauer Mulde. Ten zuiden van Altstadt Waldenburg ligt de wijk Grünfeld met het Grünfelder Park. Ten zuidoosten van Altstadt Waldenburg bevindt zich de nederzetting Naundorf, die is vernoemd naar de verwoeste nederzetting Naundorf.
