Leuke rit als de volledige klim naar de pico even teveel is (of als je teveel wolken ziet rond de top). Je klimt tot San Bartolomé de Tirajana om daarna de afdaling in te zetten richting Santa Lucia. Daarna bouwen we een extra lusje in de route richting Agüimes en terug naar de G-65. Vervolgens daal je terug af richting El Doctoral. Dit stukje doet iets kleinere wegen aan, maar is iets aangenamer en veiliger dan de grote weg te vervolgen richting Vicindario. Daarna kan je met een beetje geluk genieten van rugwind richting Maspalomas.
