De Pene of Peene, ook wel Pe(e)nebeek (Frans: Peene Becque), is een riviertje dat ontspringt in het noorden van Frankrijk. Het stroomt langs Ochtezele, Arneke, Ledringem en Wormhout, en mondt dan ten westen van Wilder in de IJzer uit.
De Franse dorpjes Noordpene en Zuidpene zijn naar het riviertje vernoemd.
Op 11 april 1677 vond aan de Pene, in de buurt van Kassel, een veldslag plaats; de derde Slag bij Kassel, ook wel Slag aan de Pene genoemd.
Lengte : 23,9 km, ontspringt in Montagnard op 86m hoogte. Heeft 'n 2° bron rond Sainte-Marie-Cappel in Dekkers Veld op 43m hoogte. Monding ligt in Wormhout op 6m hoogte, rond Hooghe Huis waar de Peenebeek in de IJzer stroomt.
