Het dorp Noyers ligt op een soort schiereiland in de rivier Le Serein mooi te zijn in het landschap van Bourgondië. Het dorp kent een lange geschiedenis, maar is vooral mooi, rustig en sfeervol. Noyers sur Serein heeft een rijk verleden. In de middeleeuwen was het dorp één van de best verdedigde bolwerken, later werd Noyers een belangrijk centrum voor de wijnhandel.
