Vianden is een stadje met ca. 2000 inwoners in het gelijknamige kanton Vianden in het noordoosten van Luxemburg op een hoogte tussen 230 m en 510 m. De plaats Vianden ligt aan de grensrivier de Our en grenst aan de Duitse deelstaat Rijnland-Palts. Vianden, schilderachtig gelegen in de vallei van de Our met het imposante kasteel, trekt jaarlijks veel toeristen en dagjesmensen.
