Hoofdplaat is een klein dorp in de gemeente Sluis, in de Nederlandse provincie Zeeland. Het zich in de regio Zeeuws-Vlaanderen bevindende dorp ligt aan de Westerschelde en heeft 765 inwoners . Dit is samen met de nabijgelegen buurtschappen Nummer Eén, Slijkplaat en Hoogeweg. Hoofdplaat-dorp heeft 540 inwoners.
