De Strabrechtse Heide is een uitgestrekt heidelandschap met prachtige vergezichten dat in de jaren ‘20 en ‘30 van de vorige eeuw dienst deed als decor voor verschillende kunstenaars. Ga eropuit en ontdek wat de kunstenaars uit die tijd naar Heeze trok!De Strabrechtse Heide is circa 1.850 hectare groot, waarvan het grootste deel wordt beheerd door Staatsbosbeheer. Het ligt ten noorden van het dorp Heeze. Bezoekers mogen het grootste gedeelte van de heide bewandelen, maar de paden zijn zo gesitueerd dat dieren en planten een ongestoord bestaan kunnen leiden.
Tips- Er zijn regelmatig schaapskuddes te vinden op de Strabrechtse Heide. - Natuurpoort De Plaetse is hét startpunt voor een wandeling of fietstocht over de Strabrechtse Heide.
