De Boschkreek, wat verscholen tussen het riet, werkt als een magneet op de wandelaar. Lang was die zoetwaterkreek in gebruik bij vlasroterijen. Na een schoonmaak heeft de kreek extreem heldeer water en zijn er meerkoetjes, waterlelies en het trekvlotje. De Boschkreek is waarschijnlijk een overblijfsel van inundaties (het onder water zetten van een gebied om de vijand te weren) in de tachtigjarige oorloog. Het kon niet uitblijven: ook aan dit pareltje in het landschap kleeft een oorlogsverhaal.
