La pedra és a tot arreu a la zona de Durbuy. Com a homenatge a aquest material , l'any 2005 va sorgir la idea de reunir artistes per treballar la pedra de la comarca. La presència de més de 50 obres monumentals repartides pel territori de la ciutat avui ens recorda l'obra d'aquests artistes.
De la guerra que sorgeix, la memòria intervé... en els camins de la seva maldat s'infiltren els dolors que formen l'home, entre fites i sense fronteres es troben les destruccions, a terra i els seus habitants entre els homes i les nostres mans... la memòria conviu i el passat l'estén des del punt comú de la història establint-se com a arrels, sense oblidar la nostra humanitat, la nostra en memòria dels nostres pobles desapareguts, fronteres i lluita per la llibertat dels nostres territoris.
