El municipi està inclòs en la subcomarca de la Baronia, enclavat en el sud-est de la Serra Calderona, al costat de la conca del riu Palància. Amb una altitud de 76 m sobre el nivell del mar i a una distància de 30 km de la ciutat València i a 5 km del nucli de Sagunt, en una ubicació privilegiada entre muntanyes i alhora molt prop del mar.
