Micenes, Mycenae o Mycene , fou una antiga ciutat de Grècia, la mítica residència del rei Agamèmnon, al centre del Peloponès, al nord-est de la plana d'Argos. Homer la menciona a la Ilíada i específicament al "Catàleg de les naus", on diu que era una ciutat forta i ben edificada.
Amb els doris, fou ciutat independent i 80 ciutadans de Micenes van ser a les Termòpiles, i 400 a Platea. El 468 aC, fou assetjada pels doris d'Argos, però les muralles van resistir i la van haver de bloquejar, fins que la gana els va obligar a rendir-se. La ciutat va passar a estar sota el domini d'Argos, però va romandre deshabitada. Les ruïnes foren descrites per Pausànies. Encara existeixen i són les més antigues de la Grècia continental, excepte les de Tirint.
