Helicó és el nom antic d'una muntanya o més exactament una serralada muntanyosa de Beòcia, a Grècia, entre el llac Copais i el golf de Corint, una prolongació de la serralada del Parnàs. Va ser famosa perquè a la mitologia grega es considerava que era el refugi preferit de les Muses, a les que els poetes grecs i romans anomenaven Helicònies . A la serralada s'hi va establir una escola de poetes grecs situada a la ciutat d'Ascra , al peu de la muntanya, que era la residència del poeta més famós de l'escola, Hesíode.
