El Museu Nacional d'Història Natural és un museu d'història natural gestionat per la Smithsonian Institution, que es troba a la National Mall a Washington DC.
Les col·leccions del museu contenen més de 125 milions d'exemplars de plantes, animals, fòssils, minerals, roques, meteorits i objectes culturals humans. És el segon museu més popular de la Smithsonian i també alberga uns 185 científics que estudien la història natural professionalment — el grup de científics dedicats a l'estudi de la història natural i cultural més gran del món, així com el museu d'història natural més visitat del món. Hi treballen més de 1.000 persones.
