Wels ; Central Bavarian: Wös) er en by i Østrig, ved Traun-floden nær Linz. Det er administrativt center for Wels-Land, og med en befolkning på cirka 60.000, den ottende største by i Østrig. Wels ligger i Hausruckviertel på en højde af 317 meter. Fra nord til syd strækker den sig over 9,5 kilometer, fra vest til øst over 9,6 kilometer. 3,4 % af området er dækket af skov, 23,5 % bruges til landbrug.
