Stanzach ligger ved udmundingen af Namlos-dalen i Lechtal. Til kommuneområdet hører også almdalen Fallerschein, som er omdannet til en ferieby. Yderligere bosætninger breder sig også ovenfor skråningens kant af en Lechterrasse. Stanzachs husbjerg er Nerenkopf, som ligger syd for byen. Dette tilhører Namlos-bjergene, en undergruppe af Lechtaler Alperne. De højeste toppe i kommunen er Tauberspitze, Elmer Kreuzspitze og Bschlaber Kreuzspitze.
