Gennem rigdommen af en galopbane og et ridesportscenter er Waregem kendt som vuggen for hestesporten i vores land.
Gaverbeekhippodromen er 17 ha stor og ligger kun et stenkast fra byens centrum.
Hver weekend, fra begyndelsen af maj til september, afholdes der væddeløb her.
