Genk er en centerby i den belgiske provins Limburg og er hovedbyen i valgkredsen og den retslige kreds Genk. Byen har mere end 66.000 indbyggere og er en af de vigtigste industribyer i Flandern. Dette skyldes tidligere tilstedeværelsen af tre kulminer og senere dens beliggenhed ved motorvejen E314 og Albertkanaalen. Genk fik i 1999 titlen som by. Den grænser op til Hasselt, Zutendaal, Oudsbergen, Houthalen-Helchteren, Zonhoven, Diepenbeek, Bilzen og As.
