Lummen er en kommune i den belgiske provins Limburg. Kommunen har over 15.000 indbyggere og tilhører den retterlige kanton Hasselt 2 og valgkanten Herk-de-Stad. Den første omtale af Lummen stammer fra 1200, som Lumm. Dette kommer fra det germanske ord lom, som betyder fugtig.
